The Apprentice star Lottie Lion has revealed her “life-changing” health diagnosis after being rushed into surgery following a sudden collapse.

The 24-year-old, who appeared on series 15 of the BBC One show, collapsed while on holiday in Sydney before she was resuscitated and taken in for emergency heart surgery.

The television personality later diagnosed her with Wolff Parkinson-White, which causes an abnormally fast heartbeat.

Lottie’s heartbeat spiked to an alarming rate of more than 200 per minute, causing her to lose conciousness.

Now she’s been deemed medically unfit to return to the UK and must stay in Australia for three months, to continue having medication and more surgery.

Speaking to The Sun from her hospital bed in Sydney, Lottie explained: “I was on a walk and felt extremely dizzy and was having heart palpitations. The next thing I knew I woke up in an ambulance.”

Lottie was in Bali before jetting off to Sydney and admitted she was suffering from heart palpitations.

She continued: “I was putting it down to anxiety, so I ignored it.

“This is going to be life-changing for me, as I usually live an extremely active lifestyle attending the gym every day. I am on strict instructions having to take four different medications three times a day until I am able to have my second heart surgery.

“I’m also not considered ‘fit to fly’ so I am stranded in Australia. The next surgery involves trying to cauterise the abnormal circuits in my heart, but in a more invasive procedure with a two-month recovery period.”

Lottie’s dad Dominique also suffered from the genetic condition Wolff Parkinson-White. The Apprentice star went on to reveal that she took her health for granted and is gutted she can longer continue her active lifestyle.

Lottie shot to fame on the hit BBC show and was known for her no-nonsense approach during tasks with her co-stars.
