Jowita Prystał has given fans an update on her personal life while heading out for some downtime earlier this week. The Strictly Come Dancing professional revealed she’d been out for dinner with Hamza Yassin – her former partner on the BBC show.

On Monday (25 March), the 29-year-old uploaded a video of herself and Hamza, 34, to her Instagram stories. During the quick clip, Jowita revealed she and the Countryfile star had spent an evening together eating dinner.

Addressing her 134,000 followers, the Polish dancer began: “What’s up everybody. We had a lovely dinner we did and what did you get from me?” In response to Jowita’s question, Hamza, 34, produced a small Kinder chocolate bar for the camera.

Explaining the reason for the confectionary item, the wildlife camera operator said: “It’s for forgiveness – please take it easy on me today. So we didn’t but that’s normally the thing I say is ‘please take it easy on me today’”.

Jowita and Hamza first met after being paired up on the 20th series of Strictly Come Dancing. After performing a myriad of Tangos, American Smooths and Sambas, the pair danced their way to victory and lifted the coveted Glitterball Trophy during the finale.

Following their successful campaign, Jowita and Hamza have remained close.

Last year, the latter revealed that if he “can’t figure something out” in his life, he immediately phones the BBC professional.

“When I can’t figure something out, I pick up the phone and talk to Jowita,” he told the Sunday Express.

“If I’m struggling, call Jowita. I’m under a lot of pressure, I don’t know how to deal with it, I’m nervous – call Jowita.”

At the time, Hamza also announced that he would be supporting Jowita and her latest Strictly partner, Jody Cundy.

Unfortunately, Jowita was unable to replicate her first season success with Jody, 45, and was eliminated in week four of the competition.

She and the Paralympian faced Eddie Kadi and Karen Hauer in the dreaded dance-off and were eventually eliminated after the judges opted to save the latter.

Following their exit, Jowita took to Instagram to praise Jody for being an “absolute pleasure [of a] partner”.

She wrote: “It’s been an absolute pleasure partner, good luck for next year’s Paralympic Games and hope you will remember our journey as something awesome cause you are awesome.”
