Cop show caught ‘Cake Boss’ star ‘stealing’ snacks from studio pantry and now he’s baking a special cake for them

He wanted to have his cake and eat it too!

Buddy “Cake Boss” Valastro has been accused of stealing snacks from another cable show at a New Jersey TV studio.

But the celeb baker — who was caught on camera grabbing the goodies — says it was all a big mistake, and he’s even baking a special cake in restitution.

The culinary case kicked off when “Cops”-like crime show “On Patrol: Live” — which follows real officers in the field — noticed some serious snacks were missing from its private pantry at a Jersey City studio.

To catch the culprit, “On Patrol: Live” — which airs on Reelz — set up a sting operation, naturally.

A source tells Page Six it wasn’t just the odd energy bar that was being pilfered, but “whole bags of things,” even allegedly including fancy sweets a staffer brought back from Japan and full bags of dried mangoes!

When staffers reviewed footage from a Ring camera in the break room, they were shocked to discover the culinary culprit was none other than Valastro, the whiz behind Carlo’s Bake Shop in Hoboken who also stars in A&E’s “Legends of the Fork” and “Cake Dynasty.”

“They got all this video of him not just grabbing an M&M, but taking full bags” of treats, said a surprised source. “You’re stealing from a police show. The show is all about law enforcement, and they always have cops in the studio.”

It’s hosted by former police Sgt. Sean “Sticks” Larkin, sheriff’s Department Capt. Curtis Wilson and veteran legal expert and anchor Dan Abrams.

Sources say the baking whiz was taking snacks from the wrong pantry.

The baker’s spokesperson says he’ll be making a great mango cake for the rival cable show’s staff to enjoy.

We hear producers were “combing through” footage and allegedly caught Valastro “half-a-baker’s-dozen times” in a week “purloining the pantry.” He was even spoken to by the studio, we hear, about supposed Snackgate.

But in the end, all’s well that snacks well.

A spokesperson for the Cake Boss told us when we reached out: “Lots of filming with Buddy’s new shows on A&E, busy day filming, and Buddy walked into the wrong room.”

The rep added: “But who doesn’t enjoy delicious dried mangoes and other healthy snacks! A man can’t live on cake alone. Buddy will be replacing the dried mango snacks with a nice big mango flavored cake and sweets from Carlo’s bakery!”
