Claudia Oshry says she’s ‘so hungry all the time’ after getting off Ozempic: ‘I cannot stay full, it’s impossible’

Claudia Oshry has been dealing with extreme hunger ever since going off Ozempic, which helped her lose over 70 pounds.

“I’ve been off Ozempic since November and I’m so hungry all the motherf—king time,” she said on TikTok Tuesday in response to a fan speculating that she was off the drug.

“I’m always looking for good treats, ’cause I’m still trying to lose weight, but on my own. And I’m always looking for snacks and things to fill me up.”

Oshry, who started taking the celeb-loved weight-loss drug in September 2022, went on to list some of her current go-to snacks — like protein bars and popcorn — before asking her followers for recommendations.

“What are we eating to stay full?” she asked. “I cannot stay full — it’s impossible. I just had a 12-ounce steak. A 12-ounce steak and I’m starving, so I’m eating popcorn.”

Many people — including influencer Remi Bader — have also experienced unrelenting hunger and “food noise” after stopping Ozempic, which is one of the brand names for semaglutide and tirzepatide.

Despite the side effects of stopping the drug, the “Toast” podcast host has had nothing but good things to say about the trendy weight-loss tool, which slows down your appetite.

In September, Oshry told her Instagram followers that she felt more confident than ever due to the drug.

“I can’t believe how many clothing options I was missing out on!” she wrote atop a mirror selfie.

With her newfound confidence, the influencer even started wearing sleeveless tops after spending most of her life trying to cover her arms.

“It’s honestly so liberating,” she added. “Dare I say life changing?”

Oshry didn’t reveal that she was on Ozempic until August 2023 — nearly one year after she began taking it.

“The reason I’m nervous about sharing [how much I’ve lost] is because I’m ashamed of myself that I got to a place where I had 70 pounds to lose,” she admitted on the Aug. 16 episode of her podcast.

“I could cry I’m so mad at myself,” Oshry added before breaking down in tears.

However, the podcaster noted that she was taking it for reasons beyond just aesthetics.

“There’s so many reasons I decided to do it: overall health was the number one, but of course [being able] to have kids,” Oshry, who is married to fellow podcaster Ben Soffer, said.

She also called out celebrities like Andy Cohen and other influencers and podcasters for promoting a “fat-phobic and harmful” stigma around people taking the drug.

“To be a fat woman is one of the hardest things to do in this world,” she said. “But I feel like I handled it as good as I could have and I’m proud of the fact I was able to have a full life [before losing weight].”

She later added, “So many people are speaking about Ozempic and fatness from a level of inexperience. There’s so much misinformation and a general lack of understanding of what it’s like to be fat … it’s damaging.”
