Trump National Bedminster members moan ex-prez being a cheapskate over $40 LIV Golf tickets

Members at Donald Trump’s New Jersey golf club — where initiations fees are reportedly more than $350,000 — are moaning that the former prez is a cheapskate because they’re being asked to pay for tickets to the LIV tournament that’s being held there this week.

We’re told members at Bedminster National got freebie passes last year for the first LIV event to be held there — not least because members can’t use the facilities, including the course, during pro competitions.

But this year they’re being forced to cough up the measly $40 for a daily grounds pass to see stars like two-time major winner Dustin Johnson, five-time major winner Brooks Koepka, golf legend Phil Mickelson and Masters winner Bubba Watson compete.

“All the members are pissed,” said an insider, “They’re closing the course, the pool, the restaurant, and we pay a lot of money to use those.”

LIV Golf, of course, is famous for seemingly coming out of nowhere and creating an existential crisis for the venerable PGA Tour by luring players to the new Saudi-based league with gargantuan pay checks.

So its safe to say it can afford to throw around some stubs for the sake of New Jersey’s most hard-working billionaires. (The PGA and the new pretender to the throne have stunningly merged and are trying to figure out a way to play nice together.)

The face value of a ticket for the whole three-day event is $119. Annual fees for the club are reported to be $14,000 to $25,000.

Meanwhile, Page Six spies spotted Trump — who has been a key supporter of the LIV tour, not least because the PGA canceled plans to host the PGA Championship there in 2021 because of the 45th president’s divisive behavior — arriving at the club to play a round before the competition begins.

A rep for the Trump Org and reps for LIV Golf didn’t respond to multiple requests for comment.
