Zara is selling stylish trousers that look remarkably similar to a designer pair from an Australian fashion label seven times the price.
The Spanish retailer’s $59.95 ‘Darted High Waist’ pants are a clever dupe of the $420 ‘Luis’ style from Camilla and Marc, a Sydney headquartered clothing brand founded in 2003 by brother and sister Marc Freeman and Camilla Freeman-Topper.
Both trousers sit high on the waist, hang straight but neatly and taper in at the ankles, a flattering cut that makes legs appear longer.
The most obvious difference is the pockets stitched on either side of the cheaper pants, while the more expensive style has none.

Some of Australia’s top stylists have been raving about the Zara version on Instagram since they hit shelves nationwide at the start of summer.
Canberra fashion blogger ‘This is Genevieve’ sent hundreds rushing to buy the trousers with a recent outfit photo, which saw her pair them with a black crop top, strappy tortoise shell heels and a Kmart clutch bag.
‘Gorgeous pair of pants,’ one woman replied.
‘Those trousers are amazing on you,’ another added, while a third said: ‘So chic.’

It’s the latest in a long line of budget-friendly dupes to catch attention on social media, following a $6 Kmart bag that is a perfect copy of an iconic accessory a staggering 370 times the price.
The Australian discount store’s $6 ‘Mini Ring Crossbody’ is a near-perfect dupe of the iconic ‘Nile’ bag from French luxury fashion house Chloé, which is crafted in Italy from leather and suede and costs an eye-watering $2,220.
Both bags have a gold ‘bracelet’ that can be looped over the wrist or used as a handle and a detachable shoulder strap for hands-free carrying, along with similar fold-over flaps that clip closed at the front.
Differences emerge where Chloé’s couture design is marked with intricate stitching and a stamp of the brand’s eponymous logo, while Kmart’s is bare and without detail.

The luxury alternative is this iconic ‘Basket Bag’ from Spanish fashion house Loewe, which is handwoven from palm and premium calf leather and costs an eye-watering $855
And it’s not the first time the retailer has released a bargain dupe of a designer bag.
Shoppers have been stripping the shelves of a $20 wicker tote that bears striking similarity to the best-selling ‘Basket Bag’ from Spanish heritage label Loewe, which is handwoven from palm and calf leather and costs $855 for the equivalent size.
Both bags have tan handles and a large patch emblazoned across the front, though Loewe’s design is stamped with the brand’s logo while Kmart’s is bare.
Demand for the budget-friendly imitation has soared since Sydney fashion blogger Dani slung it over her shoulder in an Instagram photo uploaded on Wednesday.
‘The $20 tote you didn’t know you needed from Kmart Australia,’ the influencer, who posts as ‘Luxe and Lemonade’, wrote in the caption.
