Yo Gotti’s brother, Anthony ‘Big Jook’ Mims, shot and killed outside Memphis restaurant

Yo Gotti’s brother, Anthony “Big Jook” Mims, was reportedly shot dead outside of a Memphis, Tenn., restaurant.

Per multiple reports, Mims and another unidentified person were gunned down outside of Perignons Restaurant & Event Center Saturday.

In a statement provided to Page Six, Memphis Police Department confirmed that police officers were “flagged down” at 4:15 p.m. “on a shooting at 6385 Winchester.”

Memphis Police confirmed to Page Six that two individuals were shot around 4:15 p.m. Saturday.

“A male was located on the scene and exported to St. Francis where he was pronounced deceased,” they added.

“A second male arrived at St. Francis by private vehicle. He is listed as critical.”

The police department did not confirm any identities of the victims and stated that the investigation is still ongoing.

Memphis PD did not confirm the identity of the victims, but another outlet reported that multiple police sources confirmed he was fatally shot.

While Mim’s identity wasn’t confirmed, Fox 13 reported that multiple police sources confirmed it was the older brother of the “Rake It Up” rapper who was shot dead.

The outlet also reported that the second individual was later airlifted to Regional One Health in Memphis in critical condition.

Chief Deputy Paul Wright shared in a press conference that Memphis PD does not have a “clear” suspect identified at this time, but that they are evaluating “video evidence” from the incident.

Wright also stated that the police department suspects Mims and the second person were “possibly targeted by the suspect.”

Per TMZ, Mims had attended a funeral for a relative earlier that day.

It is unclear if the “Rake It Up” rapper was present at the time of the incident.

In Mim’s last Instagram Story posts, he had posted tributes to a family member who had passed.

Page Six has contacted reps for Yo Gotti, but did not immediately hear back.

Additionally, Yo Gotti, 42, has not publicly addressed the reported shooting of his brother.

It’s unclear if the rapper was with his brother at the time of the shooting.

Yo Gotti, born Mario Mims, and Anthony had a close working relationship with each other.

The brother of the “Cha Cha Cha” rapper advertised Gotti’s record label — CMG the Label, or the Collective Media Group — in his Instagram bio.

Anthony also appeared in a handful of his brother’s music videos during Gotti’s decades-long career.
