Prince Harry would be willing to return to his royal duties — if King Charles asked him to

Prince Harry would be willing to return to royal duties — if King Charles III asked him to, a source tells Page Six.

The Duke of Sussex, 39, made a dash across the Atlantic to see his cancer-stricken father for just over 30 minutes following his recent diagnosis.

Speaking to “Good Morning America” Friday, Harry — who is fifth in line to the throne — stressed, “I love my family.”

A source close to the royal told us: “I have a hard time believing if his dad asks for his help that Harry would say no, I think he would try.”

But at the same time, the source added: “I don’t think it’s something that Harry would ask [to do] on his own.”

Last week, Harry reconciled with his 75-year-old father at the monarch’s London home, Clarence House, during a quick 25-hour trip to the UK.

The renegade royal has been in Canada for the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025’s One Year to Go celebrations alongside wife Meghan Markle.

Talking to reporter Will Reeves — son of the late “Superman” star Christopher Reeves — Harry revealed the moment he found out about his father’s diagnosis.

“I spoke to him. I jumped on a plane and went to go see him as soon as I could,” he said.

He added, “Look, I love my family. The fact that I was able to get on a plane and go and see him and spend any time with him, I’m grateful for that.”

When asked about his outlook on the state of his father’s health, he said, “That stays between me and him.”

Multiple sources have told Page Six that Harry and Markle, 42, have been working toward a master plan of “reconciliation” with the royal family, which was somewhat scuppered when Omid Scobie’s book revealed Charles and Kate Middleton as the two alleged racist royals, causing upset in the royal family.

As for whether Charles’ illness could have a “reunifying effect” on the royal family, Harry said: “Absolutely. Yeah, I’m sure. Throughout all these families, I see it on a day-to-day basis, the strength of the family unit coming together.”

Although he lives in California with the “Suits” alum and their two children, Prince Archie, 4, and Princess Lilibet, 2, Harry said he would be back to the UK to see his dad.

“I have my own family, as we all do,” he said. “My family and my life in California is as it is. I’ve got other trips planned that would take me through the UK or back to the UK, so I’ll stop in and see my family as much as I can.”
