Sacha Baron Cohen slams Rebel Wilson’s ‘false claims’ that he tried to ‘threaten’ her over memoir

Sacha Baron Cohen is vehemently denying Rebel Wilson’s claims that he tried to threaten her over content in her forthcoming memoir, “Rebel Rising.”

“While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of ‘Grimsby,’” a rep for Cohen tells Page Six.

The “Pitch Perfect” star first alluded to an A-list “a–hole” in a March 15 Instagram video about her book.

However, she initially kept the actor’s name under wraps.

“When I first came to Hollywood, people were like, ‘Yeah, I have a no a–hole policy.’ [It] means, like, ‘Yeah, I don’t work with a–holes.’ I was like, ‘Oh, yeah. I mean, that sounds sensible or logical,’” she said at the time.

“But then [what they meant] really sunk in because I worked with a massive a–hole,” Wilson continued. “And, yeah, now I definitely have a no a–holes policy.”

She then came forward and claimed Cohen had hired attorneys to scare her into not publishing information about him.

Wilson, 44, and Cohen, 52, worked together on “The Brothers Grimsby,” a 2016 film in which their characters played boyfriend and girlfriend.

The “Senior Year” actress revealed over the weekend that the “Borat” star was the “a–hole” in question.

“He’s hired a crisis PR manager and lawyers,” she alleged in a since-expired Instagram Story, clarifying that she writes about him in only “ONE CHAPTER” of her tome. “He is trying to stop press coming out about my book. But the book WILL come out, and you will all know the truth.”

She also shared that her anecdotes about Cohen appear in only one chapter. Simon & Schuster

Wilson first put Cohen on blast while appearing on the “Kyle and Jackie O” radio show in 2014, calling Cohen “outrageous” for always asking her to go “naked” in scenes.

“Sacha and I have the same agent in America and I’m like, ‘Sacha, I’m going to call our agent, Sharon, and tell her how much you are harassing me,’” she recalled.

She added that when they filmed one “Borat” scene, Cohen allegedly asked her to “stick [her] finger up [his] butt” despite that “really funny bit” not being in the script.
