Jada Pinkett Smith clarifies she did not cheat on Will Smith: We’re in a ‘beautiful place’

Jada Pinkett Smith clarified that she did not cheat on Will Smith — despite having a now-famous “entanglement” with actor August Alsina.

The “Nutty Professor” star, who previously discussed the Alsina tryst on her since-canceled “Red Table Talk,” doubled down on her recent revelation that she and the “King Richard” actor had been separated at the time.

“I just need people to know, OK, I did not cheat on Will Smith. No matter how sad he looked at that table,” Jada shared on “TalkShopLive” Saturday.

“And when you read [my upcoming memoir], you will kind of get an understanding of why the ‘Red Table’ even happened in the first place.”

During that episode of the Facebook Watch show, Jada revealed that she and Will had “decided we were going to separate for a period of time.”

But in an interview with NBC news that aired last week, she revealed that she and the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” already had been separated for years at that point.

Despite the pair’s marital strife, Jada said she and Will are in a “really beautiful place,” with Will even having helped her through writing “Worthy.”

“I’m in a place of peace. I’m in a place of happiness. And in all honesty, I love where I am. As far as Will, my relationship with him, you know, we went through that long period of separation… in order for us to journey separately and do some journeying together,” she shared.

Last week the “Nutty Professor” star revealed she and the Oscar winner have been separated for seven years.

“It just seems as though we’ve come to a really, really beautiful place together, so I just, I’m happy. Yeah, that’s where I am. In this chapter of my life, I am finally happy.”

The “Girls Trip” star, 52, admitted that she and Will, 55, felt pressured to stay together because of the public’s perception of their marriage but after therapy realized that was “not a realistic thing to do.”

She previously claimed on “Red Table Talk” that she and Will separated over the tryst, though that wasn’t the whole truth.

“There’s so much love, you know, between us. …Different things have transpired over the last two years and Will and I have been doing a lot of healing together,” she shared.

“And, you know, we have made our way back to this interdependence, this beautiful loving space between us, and we’re family, and we’re figuring it out, and it’s a beautiful figuring it out. Been beautiful. Got a lot of love.”

Although the couple have been working on their marriage, the “I Am Legend” star admitted Jada’s bombshells “woke him up.”

“When you’ve been with someone for more than half of your life, a sort of emotional blindness sets in,” he told the New York Times.

“And you can all too easily lose your sensitivity to their hidden nuances and subtle beauties.”

He also realized that Jada is more “resilient, clever and compassionate than [he’d] understood.”
