Footage Of Driver Who Killed Mother & Daughter After Drake Concert Released

Graphic footage from the fatal St. Louis car accident that led to the deaths of a mother and daughter has been released.

The driver of the vehicle, named Monte Henderson, 22, was driving at 70 mph when he slammed into Laticha Bracero, 42, and her daughter, Alyssa Cordova, 21, at an intersection.

Henderson was previously granted a bond of $200,000 and was released after he posted 10% of the amount at $20,000.

St. Louis Driver Was Speeding At Over 70mph When The Accident Occurred

A surveillance video from a fatal accident in St. Louis, Missouri, has been released, showing how the driver collided with a mother and daughter after running a red light.

The mother and daughter duo, Bracero and Cordova, were on their way back from a Drake concert and were crossing an intersection. Within seconds, the speeding motorist, Henderson, who was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee, rammed them off the road before crashing into other vehicles.

Police reports claimed that Henderson was driving at a speed of over 70mph when the accident occurred on February 14. Bracero died on the scene, while Cordova suffered the same fate shortly after medics rushed her to the hospital.

Henderson has since posted bail after being arraigned in court on charges of two counts of involuntary manslaughter and criminal action.

Prosecutors had tried to remand him in jail based on the argument that he was a danger to the community and a flight risk. However, the judge on the case, Annette Llewellyn, opted against the argument and granted a bond of $200,000. After posting 10% of the bond at $20,000, Henderson was allowed to leave.

Social Media Users Slam The St. Louis Driver’s Bail Ruling

Following the video of the accident going viral, social media users have voiced their displeasure over Henderson being granted bail by the judge.

One user commented, “It’s concerning that the man is out on bond so quickly…especially after serious charges of involuntary manslaughter and armed criminal action.”

Another fellow remarked, “There’s no way this guy should be out on bond. That is just ridiculous. It’s shame on the judge.”

A third person wrote, “This is sickening to watch and then to hear he was released for such a low bond. Pathetic. Did they run toxicology? Why was he driving so out of control? These two women deserve more from our justice system.”

Someone else said, “Boggles the mind, the fact that he is out after all that. Not much justice in the justice system with this one.”

One more person wrote, “The courts are supposed to enforce and uphold the laws. Instead, they are doing the opposite. Their actions are setting precedents  that committing crimes are not serious acts and shouldn’t be treated as such.”

A GoFundMe set up on behalf of the deceased has reached its target of $25,000 and is now past $27,000 after 49o plus donations.

It was launched by Bracero’s sister, Michelle Del Bosque, who noted that Bracero worked as a supervisor at Wintrust Bank. The late daughter Cordova was a college student and also had a part-time shift at Starbucks.

She claimed that the mother-daughter duo would often attend music concerts together, were “inseparable,” and shared a “strong bond.”

Del Bosque added, “They were so kind and sweet. They spoke of positivity and helped others across the country/beyond. They did so much for others. I am positive they received their wings right away.”
