Raven-Symoné mourns death of brother Blaize Pearman after 2-year battle with colon cancer: ‘He is in a better place now’

Raven-Symoné revealed the day after her 38th birthday that her brother, Blaize, passed away last month from colon cancer.

“Thank you the all the love yesterday. It was felt beyond. Hard to fully celebrate knowing that I’m here and he is not,” the “That’s So Raven” alum captioned a video posted to Instagram Monday.

“It was a little bittersweet for me to be honest because last month I lost my brother, Blaize,” she continued in the clip.

“He was battling colon cancer for about two years and he is in a better place now. He’s loved and missed, and the emotions that have been weaving in and out of my body and mind and my family have been a roller coaster.”

The “Cheetah Girls” star, 38, added that she will share more on Dec. 16 — which was her brother’s birthday and “forever will be.”

“I love you, Blaize,” Raven-Symoné said to the camera. “I love you, guys. My family on Instagram, my family at home and my family and friends. You guys have been such an amazing support system and I love you all.”

The former “View” co-host received an outpouring of support in the comments, including from her wife, Miranda Pearman-Maday, who wrote, “love you.”

“This was really hard to see and hear. My deepest condolences,” actress Shanica Knowles added.

Blaize, who previously appeared alongside his sister on “Celebrity Family Feud,” would have been 32 on Saturday.

The two siblings shared a close bond, with the Disney Channel alum’s younger brother making multiple appearances with her on the red carpet throughout her career.

He also shared touching moments with Raven-Symoné on his Instagram, including a sweet tribute to celebrate the actress’ birthday in 2019.

“You know you getting old, when you are sleeping and there are free drinks to be had!!!” Blaize captioned a photo of his sister fast asleep on an airplane.

“Happy Birthday @ravensymone embarrassing photos are the best!!!”
