In the United Kingdom, television rights are held jointly by the BBC and ITV, with live games being shown on both broadcasters.

As Premier League clubs make their first forays into the 2023/24 FA Cup, every cup game broadcast for the third round will involve a team from the English top flight. A Thursday night encounter starts the action off as Crystal Palace host Everton before Burnley’s trip to Tottenham the following evening.

The Tyne-Wear derby starts Saturday’s lengthy fixture list at midday, with Championship side Middlesbrough entertaining Aston Villa later in the day.

The tie of the round arrives on Sunday as two tournament favourites in Arsenal and Liverpool collide at the Emirates Stadium, having only recently met in the Premier League at Anfield.

Manchester United reached the final of this competition last season before being beaten by treble winners Manchester City. Their journey to Wembley starts with a Monday night encounter with Wigan.

ESPN hold exclusive rights to stream FA Cup matches in the United States, starting from the first round proper in November to the final.

As was the case last season, the FA Cup rights in Canada belong to Sportsnet. This means that a selection of the FA Cup third-round ties can be seen on the following channels.

The following ties will be shown on Sportsnet channels during the third round.

The games will take place on the first weekend of the new year, with ties scheduled for the weekend beginning on Saturday 6 January 2024.

There are no replays from the fifth round onwards in the FA Cup but if a third-round tie is level after 90 minutes, a replay is played at the home ground of the original away team.
