Nancy Grace Was Particularly Awkward Constantly Touching Zac Efron On The View
An awkward interview on The View? No, it can’t be… This one was particularly painful to watch for a couple of reasons. For one, Nancy Grace was bringing up random topics, like discussing the Dr. Seus book, The Lorax. For whatever reason, Grace would constantly touch Efron after making a statement. He would even shift his body away from her multiple times during the interview, but it seemed like Grace just wasn’t understanding his body language.
The View panel also drilled Efron about his encounter with Simon Cowell. Efron made light of their conversation, stating that they were just talking in passing. Grace didn’t believe it, and slammed Efron for not being interested in a music career given that Cowell had approached him… Zac clearly wanted to put his emphasis on acting but once again, the host just wasn’t understanding.

Stephen Colbert entertained the audience with his walkout on The View, but showed a different side of himself once he returned.
As expected, fans had a lot to say looking back at the interview.
“Just before the Simon comment, she pats him on the shoulder and he like jumps down the couch.”
“That wasn’t just awkward, that was painfully awkward. I’ll bet he couldn’t wait to get out of there.”
Another fan writes, “She is too abrasive…keeps touching him..and the poor guy had to scoot away…she is cannot pick up on body language…”
It was a difficult interview to watch, but in truth, it was far from the only time things got awkward during an episode of The View. That continues to be the theme, even during recent interviews.
It Wasn’t The First Time An A-List Actor Encountered An Awkward Moment On The View
This moment could have been far worse. Thankfully, Matthew McConaughey was aware that giving an answer to a particular question on The View would have done more harm than good – so instead, he refused to answer. McConaughey was asked if his anti-gun view could get him elected in Texas.
Behar asks, “Do you think you can get elected in Texas, being anti-gun?”
The actor had the perfect response back, “One thing about me and politics is, to give you a direct statement right there is me playing a game I’m not interested in playing.”

Liam Neeson Called His Time On The View “Uncomfortable”Due To The Topics Discussed
Liam Neeson can also be added to the list of inappropriate interviews on The View. The guest was very excited to talk politics prior to appearing on the show. However, he was completely let down by what was presented to him instead, as the panel discussed his looks.
“I was in the dressing room drinking a cup of tea, turned the TV up, and I thought, oh, this will be great. They’re talking about gun violence in America, and I agree that it’s an American problem,” he told Rolling Stone. “I go onstage and join the ladies during the break, and I was congratulating them on this discussion.”
He continues, “And then our segment starts and it’s just all this BS with Joy [Behar] and Liam Neeson and having a crush, and I’ve known Whoopi for years and Joy a little bit, but I just wasn’t impressed. I’m uncomfortable in those situations, you know?”
Neeson added, “The segment’s all about this — oof —thirteen, fourteen-year-old crush. It’s just a bit embarrassing.”
Definitely not what he was anticipating heading into the interview.
