Bradley Cooper takes his job as a dad seriously.
The actor rushed off stage on Thursday during a press conference in New York City for his movie “Maestro” after receiving an urgent call from his daughter Lea’s school nurse.
“So sorry. The school nurse just called me,” Cooper said while glancing at his phone, per the Daily Mail.
“Can I just leave the room for a second to call them back and you can keep going? Is that all right?” he asked.
The “Hangover” star briefly returned to the stage to explain he had to rush to the six-year-old’s school to administer something school officials couldn’t.
“I have to apply something that they won’t allow,” he continued. “I have to do it, so it’s, like, a 10-minute walk.”
Cooper shares joint custody of his daughter with ex-girlfriend Irina Shayk, 37, with whom he dated from 2015 to 2019.

The “Star is Born” actor, 48, has recently been on daddy duty as he was joined by Lea on the red carpet for his new Netflix film earlier this month.
The father-daughter duo were all smiles as Lea proudly put her Dolce & Gabbana leopard-print dress and gold pumps on full display.
As for Cooper, he wore a navy suit for the outing.
Shayk took to her Instagram to gush over the two as she wrote, “So proud Daddy and Lea.”
While the model and actor are no longer together, they maintain an amicable relationship and tend to team up for special occasions, such as Halloween and walking their daughter to school.
Cooper has since moved on with model Gigi Hadid, 28, as the duo were first seen together at Via Carota on Oct. 5
An insider previously told Page Six the couple’s “relationship is on steroids” as they are dating in the fast zone.
“It’s getting serious very quickly,” the source said. “They are together every day.”
Aside from her looks, the nine-time Oscar nominee finds the Victoria’s Secret model “intellectually interesting.”
Meanwhile, Shayk has gotten cozy with retired NFL star Tom Brady, 46, in the past year.
The Russian beauty and the football legend — who were first romantically linked in May but split in October — were seen in Miami for Art Basel on Dec. 8 after reportedly rekindling their relationship.
