Grim discovery after body of man in his 60s washes up rocks near Sydney’s Freshwater beach

A man’s body has been found washed up on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

He was found on rocks at Freshwater, off a cliffside walking path on Lumsdaine Dr, about 10.20am Saturday.

‘Officers attached to Northern Beaches Police Area Command were called… to reports a body was seen in the surf,’ a New South Wales Police spokesperson said.

‘He is yet to be formally identified, but is believed to be aged in his 60s.

‘Inquiries are continuing.’


Freshwater is a suburb of Sydney’s Northern Beaches region, about 17km northwest of the Sydney CBD.
