Real Housewives of Atlanta castmates reacted to Porsha Guobadia’s divorce with Simon Guobadia – as the exes spoke out, and Simon “respect[ed]” a fan accusing Porsha of having a “marriage of convenience” and suggested a possible criminal past of Porsha’s is the reason his citizenship was denied.
Porsha filed for divorce last week, 15 months after they tied the knot, amid allegations of his past crimes and citizenship struggles.
On Simon’s Instagram, he responded to a fan who wrote, “If immigration finds out your sponsor — be it your wife or other — has a criminal record [then] it ain’t gonna fly with immigration.”
“Yep,” Simon confirmed.
Another fan expressed, “I also think about the vows you both took for better or for worse. The first test that came against your marriage your wife ran to the divorce court. Respectfully it makes one think that the marriage was a marriage of convenience and not love. Despite all of that … about your children whose lives were blended as a family? No one thinks about how the children are affected in the end. Divorce is easy. Marriage is hard work.”
“Respect,” Simon commented, with a folded-hands emoji.

He then addressed the situation on his Instagram Stories.
“[I] Will Stop Loving My Wife When Divorce is Final,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, Porsha also addressed the split: “Thank you for your prayers & support. 💔.”
She signed the post “PW” – for Porsha Williams – seemingly declaring she’s no longer Porsha Guobadia.
