As an actor and musician, Bell captivated the eyes and ears of fans who grew up with the show. There are many memorable moments and memes that came to be thanks to his iconic performance as Drake Parker.

Over two decades have passed, and Drake is still continuing his work as a musician and actor. His time on Nickelodeon will be looked back on for years to come, but what has Bell been up to since his show ended?

Here are some things Drake Bell has done since then.

Updated March 2024:Drake Bell has been in the headlines again recently. This time, however, the scandal that has been revealed does not paint Bell in a poor light. Instead, Bell spoke for the first time on “Quiet on the Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV” that he had been abused repeatedly by dialogue coach, Brian Peck. Bell said that in order to feel comfortable with coming forward after the first interview for the series, he had to enter rehab to go through trauma therapy. Once this happened, he felt empowered enough to come forward and admit that he was the John Doe who accused Peck of abuse so many years ago.

In March 2024, Bell revealed on the ID series, Quiet on the Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, that he had been abused by the Nickelodeon dialogue coach, Brian Peck. Peck has already served his time in jail for his crime and had to register as a sex offender. However, when he was accused, Bell was a minor and was only known as “John Doe.” As such, it was not made public until Bell wanted it to be public, who the victim of the abuse was.

When Peck was going through trial, some of Hollywood’s elite as well as child actors, wrote letters of support for Peck believing that the charges were bogus. However, once Bell came out and explained the situation, many who threw their support behind Peck retracted their statements and expressed their sadness that they did not know Bell was the victim and wished they had supported him years ago.

With the series finale “Really Big Shrimp” out of the way, it was time for Miranda Cosgrove to star in her own show iCarly. She also had a hand in singing the opening theme “Leave it All to Me,” which remains a bop to this day. Bell also was featured as a backup vocalist, and his bandmate Michael Corcoran wrote the song.

Cosgrove had a small music career thanks to the song, and Bell even wished that she would get back into making music. Currently, she is busy with the iCarly revival, but the possibility is still up in the air.

Drake and Josh fans were surprised when there was going to be a Christmas special for the series. Considered an epilogue for the show, it was a nice send-off to the characters, as the plot takes Drake and Josh to help a foster family have the best Christmas ever. It was very bittersweet knowing that this would be the last time we’d see the stepbrothers interact.

After all, no other show can pull off having a “snowy” Christmas day that happens in California other than Drake & Josh.

Besides music, Bell has continued to find work in the acting industry. He worked on movies such as Superhero Movie and College. Both films received negative reviews, but Superhero Movie was a box office success. After doing those movies, Bell was cast in the pilot for CBS show Fish Tank.

Converting The Fairly OddParents from an animated show to a live-action film was not the hardest thing to do, though it was a strange idea to begin with. Bell ended up playing the grown-up version of Timmy Turner, who is still stuck in fifth grade and is 23. Ironically, the casting worked out really well, though the movie did not need to really exist.

Bell would end up doing a total of three live-action movies of The Fairly OddParents, and despite the negative reception, the movies did really well in viewership. It would be up there with Drake & Josh as one of Bell’s recognizable works.

For eight years after the release of his second album It’s Only Time, Bell hadn’t released a studio album, which was definitely concerning for fans who thoroughly enjoyed his music. The attention surrounding his fourth album was rather interesting, as Justin Bieber tried to crash the party on the night of his album’s release. Bell also had a small reunion with Cosgrove, Peck, creator Dan Schneider, and his onscreen stepdad Jonathan Goldstein.

Titled Ready Steady Go!, the album received praise for its rockabilly sound. Even if there are covers, the way Bell transitioned most of them into a ’50s/’60s sound is outstanding. For a recent album with an older sound, it is worth a listen.

There is one instrument that Bell could not pass up other than his singing voice is the guitar. He has been associated with it ever since his appearance on The Amanda Show. If something were to happen to him that affected his guitar play, it would be a very devastating time. In a twist of fate, that actually happened in 2015, when Bell injured his wrist from a ridiculous stunt he pulled off at his brother’s birthday party.

Thankfully, Bell’s wrist has recovered, and he continues to play the guitar.

They also tweeted out their stories involving Bell, with one user claiming that he dated a 16-year-old when he was 20.

However, Bell has denied the allegations, with his representative stating that when they broke up, they did call each other horrible names, but not to the point of verbal abuse.

Compared to his third studio album, his Spanish singles “Fuego Lento” and “Diosa” did really well on streaming services, such as Spotify. This even lead to rumors about him living in Mexico.

According to his Twitter account, Bell currently resides in Los Feliz, which is an area in Los Angeles, California.
