Johnny Depp reportedly shut down “malicious” rumors that he is dating Jenna Ortega.
The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star refuted speculation that he has any “personal or professional relationship with Ms. Ortega whatsoever,” according to the Daily Mail.
“He has never met her or spoken to her,” the 60-year-old actor’s rep wrote in a statement Saturday. “He is not involved in any project with her, nor does he intend to be.
“He is appalled by these baseless and malicious rumors that are intended to harm his reputation and career,” Depp’s spokesperson concluded.
The outlet also claimed that Ortega, 20, addressed the “ridiculous” claims on her social media account.
“I can’t even laugh,” the “Wednesday” actress reportedly wrote on her Instagram Story in a since-deleted post.
“I have never met or worked with Johnny Depp in my life,” she continued. “Please stop spreading lies and leave us alone.”
Page Six has reached out to Ortega and Depp’s reps but did not immediately hear back.
Rumors began after gossip blog Deuxmoi posted that Depp and Ortega had been spotted together and were possibly working together on “Beetlejuice 2,” which is slated to be released next fall.
The “Edward Scissorhands” star most recently made headlines for his romance with Joelle Rich, a London-based attorney who represented the actor in his libel case against the Sun in 2020.

An insider told US Weekly last year that Rich was married when she and Depp first started dating but was in the middle of divorcing her husband.
The Oscar nominee and the high-profile lawyer split in October 2022.
Prior to that, Depp was married to Amber Heard from 2015 to 2017. Last year, he won a defamation case against the “Aquaman” star, claiming the 37-year-old lied about him abusing her.
Heard was ordered to pay her ex-husband $10 million in compensatory damages and $350,000 in punitive damages. The jury also awarded the actress $2 million in compensatory damages for her countersuit against Depp.
Ortega, on the other hand, has been romantically linked to singer Jacob Sartorius and “Andi Mack” alum Asher Angel over the years.
