On April 13, 2016, Jones joined the Cleveland Cavaliers.He made his Cavaliers debut, scoring 13 points, five rebounds, two assists, one steal, and two blocks in 42 minutes off the bench in a 112–110 loss to the Detroit Pistons.

He was suspended for Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals on May 22 for striking Toronto Raptors center Bismack Biyombo in the groin during Game 3’s last possession.
