Prince Harry voluntarily did the washing up at Friends star Courteney Cox’s party, according to singer Natasha Bedingfield. The 42-year-old, who lives in LA, made the unexpected admission about the royal when quizzed on the famous friends she had made while living in the star-studded area with her husband Matt Robinson and their son Solomon.

Natasha said for many years she has been close to Courtney, who cooked and threw parties for multiple guests at her house in Malibu. Reflecting on a particular memory, the Unwritten hitmaker said despite his royal status, Prince Harry offered to wash up and was “down-to-earth” when they met.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, she shared: “Prince Harry was there once before he met Meghan [Markle]. He’s lovely and down-to-earth. He did the dishes after dinner. Taylor Swift was there too. She was so into her music. You never knew who would turn up.”

Natasha added of her life in LA: “It’s amazing to be in the sun. You don’t have to rush outside when you see some rays, it’s always sunny. In LA, celebs have these amazing houses and that’s very showbiz. You invite people to your house and you don’t really go out unless you’re going to a big awards.”

In Harry’s autobiography Spare, released last year, he made quite the admission about an event which took place at Courteney’s house. The royal claimed he found a box of black diamond mushroom chocolates in her fridge and decided to take one, which caused hallucinations.

Speaking to Variety about his claims, the actress said: “He did stay here for a couple of days – probably two or three. He’s a really nice person.

“I haven’t read the book. I do want to hear it, because I’ve heard it’s really entertaining. But yes, it’s gotten back to me about it.

“I’m not saying there were mushrooms! I definitely wasn’t passing them out.”

Harry and Meghan have been moved to LA after stepping down from their senior royal duties in 2020.

Along with parenting their two children Archie and Lilibet, they have taken on their own projects including a six-part documentary with Netflix based on their lives in and out of the royal family.

Harry returned to the UK for a brief visit last week, following his dad King Charles’ cancer diagnosis.

Last Monday, Buckingham Palace announced a type of cancer had been found during his recent treatment for an enlarged prostate.

They added that the 75-year-old “remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible.”

In his latest statement, Charles thanked people for their “many messages of support and good wishes”.

He added: “It is equally heartening to hear how sharing my own diagnosis has helped promote public understanding and shine a light on the work of all those organisations which support cancer patients and their families across the UK and wider world.

“My lifelong admiration for their tireless care and dedication is all the greater as a result of my own personal experience.”
