Party-loving Mayor Eric Adams — who said this week that the city’s shelters are near a “breaking point” as they deal with incoming migrants — was spotted Thursday night at the highly exclusive, members-only jazz club at the newly opened Aman NY.
We’re assuming he found few, if any, migrants there.
“He was sitting in the center of the room with a group of people,” says a spy, who notes that founding members splashed out $100,000 to join the club.
We’re told one of these people was his controversial pal, convicted money launderer Zhan “Johnny” Petrosyants.
“Guess tonight there’s no migrant issue if he’s sitting at the fanciest new club,” huffed the spy. “He’s been here all night.”
Let’s not jump to conclusions. Perhaps he’s seeing if the spot will treat some of the city’s newcomers one of their $3,200-a-night rooms.
We’re told also in the gilded room was French billionaire and founder of the luxury Kering group, Francois Pinault. Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos and his girlfriend Lauren Sanchez were spotted at the swank hotel the next day.
Adams was seen at the Crown Building hotspot’s opening in August. Page Six previously reported that founding members doled out $100,000 to be part of the exclusive Aman Club. Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, the Kardashians, Angelina Jolie, David Beckham, George and Amal Clooney and Tom Hanks are all fans of the hotel brand.
It doesn’t seem like anything can stop Adams from a bash. A source pointed out a New Yorker article that noted that on 9/11 he spent the day mourning the dead with Vice President Kamala Harris and former Mayor Michael Bloomberg, then headed to La Baia for what seemed to be the Petrosyants twins’ birthday party.
Last week, a source told us that he hopped around to various bashes to celebrate turning 62. And he hosted a New York Fashion Week bash at Gracie Mansion with Anna Wintour and a number of top designers.
