Diane von Furstenberg’s huge Target collaboration to feature $50 wrap dress

Diane von Furstenberg’s long had the world — and most of Hollywood — wrapped up in her iconic designs.

And on Tuesday, the fashion mainstay and wrap dress creator announced she’s teaming up with Target on more than 200 pieces, marking her biggest brand collaboration to date.

The line will include a Target take on her signature belted style, in addition to several of the bold prints that have long been hallmarks of her work. (She even dove into her archives from the ’70s when sourcing patterns, per Vogue.)

“This is a wrap dress that is as close to the brand as you can get,” she told the outlet while celebrating the design’s 50th anniversary.

“It’s a wrap dress without a color in jersey and with long sleeves,” she added, shouting out the “ridiculous” $50 price tag.

The designer’s offering more than just closet staples with the March 23 launch, however, as the collaboration is slated to include everything from beauty products to furniture that can be customized with seven exclusive fabrics.

Unlike Furstenberg’s usual fare, the designs — created in collaboration with her granddaughter, Talita von Furstenberg — start at $4, with most ringing in at under $50.

The designer’s pieces are A-list favorites, having appeared on everyone from real-life royals like Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle — who own the same black lace frock — to Hollywood royalty like Oprah Winfrey and Katy Perry.

And while Target’s spin on the styles has yet to hit the site, fashion fans can celebrate the wrap dress’ anniversary in the meantime by shopping the silhouette that first launched Furstenberg to fame.

The comfy, versatile design is available in a range of cuts, fabrics and prints, from the Jeanne Silk Jersey Wrap Dress ($578) to the crossword-print Abigail Silk Jersey Midi Dress ($818) and the cozy Astrid Wool-Cashmere Wrap Dress ($558).

Just be sure to shop quickly when the more budget-friendly collaboration launches on March 23.

Target’s previous buzzy designer drops — with the likes of Missoni, Jason Wu and Isaac Mizrahi — have flown off the shelves in a flash.
