This major event, which was originally scheduled to take place in Hangzhou, China from September 10th to September 25th, 2022, was brought forward by a year due to the return of COVID-19 cases in China. As a result, the Asian Games 2022 will now amaze the world in 2023. Among the intriguing changes is the inclusion of Riot Games’ famed esports masterpiece, League of Legends (LoL), as one of the eight gold events.

  • The format follows a single round-robin setup.
  • Matches will be best-of-one (BO1).
  • The top team from each group will advance to the Knockout Stage.

Knockout Stage

  • Eight teams will battle it out in this stage.
  • Four teams have already secured their positions through the Road to Asian Games qualifiers, and they will face off against the four qualifiers from the Group Stage.
  • The format features a single elimination bracket.
  • Matches will be best-of-three (BO3).
