Sam Asghari reacts to Britney Spears calling him a ‘gift from God’ in her book amid divorce

Sam Asghari is beaming over his estranged wife, Britney Spears, gushing about him in her bestselling new memoir, “The Woman in Me.”

“That made me smile, to be honest,” the “Family Business” actor told a paparazzo Wednesday afternoon.

“I’m freakin’ proud of her, and I hope she takes over the world.”

Spears, 41, completed her memoir before Asghari, 29, filed for divorce from her in August after 14 months of marriage, and edits were not made to include the demise of their relationship.

Sources previously told Page Six that the Princess of Pop “gave her final sign-off” to publishers two weeks before she and the former fitness model broke up.

Therefore, what did make it into Spears’ tell-all were very complimentary words about Asghari, including calling him a “gift from God.”

The “Oops! I Did It Again” singer also wrote of her estranged husband, “I have an appreciation for how stable he is. I love that he doesn’t even drink.”

She recalled when they met in October 2016 on the set of her “Slumber Party” music video and she was “instantly smitten” over the handsome Iranian.

“I knew I wanted him in my life immediately,” Spears added. “The chemistry with us in the beginning was insane. We couldn’t keep our hands off each other.”

The former couple dated for nearly six years before tying the knot in a star-studded fairy-tale wedding in June 2022.

However, they split this past summer amid allegations Spears had cheated on Asghari, which sources close to her have repeatedly denied.

At the onset of the separation, Page Six learned that the “Lioness” actor was threatening to release embarrassing information about his famous ex in order to re-negotiate their prenuptial agreement.

However, Asghari later denied those claims via his rep, saying, “No negative intention has ever been directed towards [Spears] and never will be. Sam has always and will always support her.”

Since then, the “Black Monday” star has done just that by defending Spears when Donald Trump Jr. made a joke at the “Toxic” singer’s expense.

He also told TMZ earlier this month that he is “very proud” of Spears for penning her tome, adding, “She put a lot of work to it, and it was very hard.”

Page Six previously learned that Asghari will not make a dime from his ex’s memoir, which has already peaked at No. 1 on Amazon and is on pace to be one of the bestselling celebrity memoirs of all time.
