Christine Quinn’s husband files for restraining order against ‘Selling Sunset’ alum, denies hitting son

Christine Quinn’s husband, Christian Richard, filed for a restraining order against the former reality star after he was arrested for domestic violence last week.

According to court documents obtained by Page Six, Richard — born Christian Dumontet — requested that the “Selling Sunset” alum be ordered to stay at least 100 yards from his Los Angeles home, which he also asked Quinn to move out of.

The tech entrepreneur also requested that Quinn not travel with their 2-year-old son, Christian, outside of LA without his permission. He claims in the documents that she is capable of abducting their child.

Richard, 45, further claims that Quinn has a “history of threatening to take away or hide” their son from him and has not been cooperative in co-parenting.

He also points out that the real estate agent, 35, is “very close” to her mom and father, and is worried she will flee to Texas — where they live — with their toddler.

In his filing, Richard described the alleged events that led up to his arrest. These differed from Quinn’s allegations that he hit their son with a glass bottle during a dispute before his arrest.

“While there have never been incidents of domestic violence within the relationship, throughout
the marriage, Mr. Dumontet and Ms. Quinn have argued over the state of the house,” he alleges.

“Ms. Quinn owns two dogs as pets which she refuses to have house or crate trained. As a result, every area of the house is constantly filled with dog feces, the linens are stained with dog urine and are
tattered and torn due to the animals’ constant and uncontrolled chewing.”

Richard claims their hardwood floors are “permanently warped, discolored, stained with foul odors, and generally damaged beyond repair” and “the floor of one bathroom on the second level of the house is so soaked with dog urine that the ceiling below is stained.”

The dad of one claims he “constantly finds himself the only one cleaning up after the dogs” and even uses his time cleaning with the vacuum cleaner as a “bonding activity” with his son.

Richard claims in the court docs that he and Quinn — who both work from home — also have disagreements about childcare for their son.

“Although they have no obligations pulling them outside of the house, Ms. Quinn has repeatedly expressed that she wants 24-hour nanny coverage for their son Christian,” he claims. “Mr. Dumontet feels that is inappropriate for two parents who are constantly with the child and believes the Nanny should leave by 3:00 each day.”

Richard claims that on March 18, he asked their babysitter via a group text with his wife to leave at 3 p.m. However, Quinn “overruled” his request and told the nanny to stay, which she did.

“Upon learning this, Mr. Dumontet sent a group text asking that all communications between Ms. Quinn, himself and Alexis be on a dedicated group chat, which enraged Ms. Quinn and fed into a repeated and unfounded concern she expressed: that Mr. Dumontet would take away all nanny services — something he has never threatened,” he alleges.

On March 19, the day Richard was arrested, he claims he confronted Quinn about the dogs urinating on some of his “very valuable, irreplicable and sentimental items,” which he claims he stored in an area that was blocked away from the animals.

He alleges in the court docs that his wife was on the bed “with cleaning items, soda cans, and food waste haphazardly strewn around the room, cleaning fluid spilled on the floor and seeping into the hardwood, towels and rags strewn about the floor and a mostly empty trash bag filled only with some soiled rags and paper towels in it, on the ground.”

After Quinn refused to clean up her mess in the house, Richard claims he “grabbed the trash bag from the
floor and threw it to the side of the room, against the wall.”

“Mr. Dumontet did not throw the bag towards Ms. Quinn, or their son. Additionally, there was no glass in the bag, as there was no broken glass in the room or anywhere in the house,” he writes.

After Quinn allegedly “grabbed the child by the arm and took him out of the bedroom and into another room in the house,” Richard says he got on his computer when Quinn came and “very calmly” talked to him about their forthcoming summer vacation.

“Ms. Quinn then walked out of the room, and, within minutes, LAPD police officers stormed the bedroom with guns drawn, ordering Mr. Dumontet out of the house without any time to gather any personal belongings, and while still in his bathrobe,” he alleges.

Richard claims the former Netflix star — whom he wed in 2019 — “filed a false police report with fabricated allegations of domestic abuse” to “gain an upper hand in potential divorce and custody proceedings.” (In the court docs, Richard said he and Quinn have been married since 2021. We reached out to clarify.)

He also claims Quinn is using the paparazzi photos of his arrest to “embarrass and humiliate” him further after he was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.

Page Six has reached out to Quinn for comment but did not immediately hear back.
