Wynonna Judd worries fans with ‘bizarre’ CMA Awards 2023 performance: ‘Someone help her’

Wynonna Judd has left fans worried after they noticed she seemed “off” during her CMA Awards performance in Nashville Wednesday night.

The country singer, 59, appeared unsteady while joining up-and-coming crooner Jelly Roll for a duet of his track “Need a Favor.”

But just moments after she took to the stage, Judd, who lost her mother and singing partner Naomi Judd to suicide last April, appeared worse for wear as she held on to her singing partner during the rendition.

It wasn’t long before fans rushed to social media to share their concerns for the singer, with many saying the “bizarre” performance has left them worried for her health.

“She’s been through so much. Someone help her,” one fan wrote on X.

“Am I the only one concerned for @Wynonna,” another asked, before a third added, “Something is wrong with her. Hope she is ok!!”

“Wynonna Judd is holding on to Jelly Roll for dear life #CMAawards,” another noted.

“It was seriously bizarre,” a third fan wrote. “I wonder what’s going on? She barely moved once she got a death grip on him.”

Another fan wondered if Wynonna’s bout with vertigo was back, after she was forced to bow out from her “New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash” after experiencing dizziness.

“Wondering if she’s having another severe bout of vertigo. Looking down, holding on for dear life, and barely moving…makes sense,” a fan wrote.

Wynonna appeared in good spirits just hours prior to the performance when she walked the red carpet and posed for photos.

Page Six has reached out to Wynonna’s reps for comment.

In April, Wynonna honored her late mother at the 2023 CMT Awards in an emotional moment onstage.

“Mama, you need to be here, and I miss you, and I love you and I don’t understand,” the singer said as she pointed to the sky while performing “I Want to Know What Your Love Is” with Ashley McBryde at the 57th annual awards ceremony.

“It’s an anniversary and we all have anniversaries. I’m not terminally unique,” Wynonna told “Entertainment Tonight” backstage.

“We all have something that we look at and go what the hell? What’s going on? I don’t understand and that was my ‘I don’t understand.’”

The “Mama He’s Crazy” singer added that it’s been a “bittersweet time” for her, since the anniversary of her mom’s death rolls around the same time as her granddaughter, Kaliyah, turns a year old.

“I’ve got both agony and ecstasy happening,” Wynonna shared at the time.
