Arsenal vs Crystal Palace – Premier League: TV channel, team news, lineups and prediction

Arsenal will try to end a rough patch of form when they host struggling Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday.

This clash at the Emirates kicks off Saturday’s limited Premier League action as the Gunners search for a big performance after winning only one of their last five games in the top flight.

They take on an Eagles side short on energy after losing an FA Cup third round replay on Wednesday night. There’s plenty of discontent in south London about Roy Hodgson’s management of Palace and they will not be heading to north London brimming with confidence despite Arsenal’s poor recent form.

Here’s all you need to know about Arsenal vs Crystal Palace in the Premier League this weekend.

There are still plenty of injuries for Arsenal to deal with. While Jurrien Timber, Thomas Partey and Fabio Vieira are getting closer to making their long-awaited returns, none have any hope of featuring here.

Takehiro Tomiyasu and Mohamed Elneny are on international duty with Japan and Egypt respectively, while the fitness of Oleksandr Zinchenko cannot be counted on at this stage. Jakub Kiwior could take his left-back spot, while Gabriel Jesus should be fit again to start.

Arsenal predicted lineup vs Crystal Palace (4-3-3): Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Odegaard, Rice, Havertz; Saka, Jesus, Martinelli.

Star Palace winger and rumoured Arsenal target Michael Olise is still out injured and will play no part. The creativity will have to come from Eberechi Eze, who was taken off in the second half against Everton, prompting chants of ‘you don’t know what you’re doing’ from Palace fans aimed at Hodgson.

Rob Holding won’t face his old team due to an ankle problem, while Cheick Doucoure and Joel Ward are injured and unavailable. Jesurun Rak-Sakyi could return after missing the cup match, but Jordan Ayew is at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Crystal Palace predicted lineup (4-4-2): Henderson; Clyne, Andersen, Guehi, Mitchell; Eze, Richards, Lerma, Schlupp; Edouard, Mateta.

Things have not been easy recently for Arsenal and there is a genuine risk of their title push falling away completely if they do not get their act together. However, this is a great fixture to return to winning ways in and the returning Gabriel Jesus will see this as a chance to get a goal or two.

Palace did win their last league game against Brentford but played in midweek and looked devoid of confidence. Expect a home win.

Prediction: Arsenal 2-0 Crystal Palace
