Bruce Sutter, a Hall of Famer pitcher who helped the St. Louis Cardinals to a World Series championship in 1982, has died. He was 69.
The Cardinals introduced the loss of life of Sutter on Friday morning.
“We are saddened over the passing of Bruce Sutter,” the crew stated in a tweet. “Sutter was a dominant pitcher and a member of the ’82 World Series Championship crew.
“He is a member of each the National Baseball Hall of Fame and the Cardinals Hall of Fame. Our ideas are with Bruce’s household and pals.”
