Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes briefly leaves playoff sport vs. Jaguars with ankle damage; Chad Henne throws landing

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes suffered a decrease leg damage late within the first quarter In Saturday’s divisional spherical playoff sport.

Mahomes’ ankle appeared to get rolled up on after he was tackled by Jacksonville Jaguars defenders. The quarterback seemed to be in ache instantly after he went to the bottom. 

He stayed within the sport however had a noticeable limp. He was changed on the subsequent drive by veteran backup Chad Henne within the second quarter.

Trainers taped Mahomes’ ankle between quarters, and he went to the locker room space for one more tape job after Henne went below middle. The drive on which Mahomes suffered the damage ended with a Harrison Butker discipline aim to extend the Chiefs’ result in 10-7.

Mahomes was visibly upset over the choice to briefly preserve him on the sidelines and was seen throwing his jacket down.

Henne later threw his first profession landing cross in an NFL postseason sport when he accomplished a cross to All-Pro tight finish Travis Kelce.

Mahomes got here out of the locker room for the second half for warmups and was greeted by cheers from the gang at Arrowhead Stadium.

Before his temporary exit, Mahomes had accomplished 12 of 15 passes for 84 yards and one landing. Henne was 5 for 7 for 23 yards and one landing.
