Manchester City will book their spot in the knockout stages of the Champions League with victory over Danish side Copenhagen on Tuesday evening.

Pep Guardiola’s side sit top of the group with three wins from three and are already eight points clear of third place, with Borussia Dortmund the only real threat to their place atop the standings.

City thumped Copenhagen 5-0 when these two sides met at the Etihad just last week and they’ll fancy their chances of victory again against a team who have collected just one point of their own from their first three European games.

Here’s all you need to know about this one.

Copenhagen vs Man City H2H results

Current Form (Last Five Games)

Copenhagen team news

Akinkunmi Amoo and Zeca remain out for the hosts, while Mamoudou Karamoko faces a late fitness test after picking up a knock.

Copenhagen Starting XI (4-3-3): Grabara; Diks, Vavro, Khocholava, Kristiansen; Stamenic, Lerager, Claesson; Johannesson, Karamoko, Daramy

Bench: Johnsson, Ryan, Jensen, Sorennsen, Ankersen, Jelert, Haraldsson, Mukairu, Bardghji, Babacar, Cornelius

Man City team news

Guardiola will keep John Stones away from this one as he nurses a hamstring injury, with the Englishman joining international teammates Kyle Walker and Kalvin Phillips on the sidelines.

With Liverpool on the agenda at the weekend, Guardiola will undoubtedly rest some of his heaviest hitters in confidence that his second-string can get the required result here.

Man City Starting XI (4-3-3): Ederson; Lewis, Laporte, Dias, Gomez; Rodri, Gundogan, Palmer; Alvarez, Haaland, Grealish

Bench: Carson, Ortega, Akanji, Ake, Wilson-Esbrand, Cancelo, Foden, Silva, De Bruyne, Mahrez

City won this one 5-0 last week and chances are they’ll pull out something similar to that result here.

Copenhagen will know they are no match for the Premier League champions but their cause will be aided by Guardiola having one eye on the Liverpool game. He’ll rest some of his bigger names and, naturally, that will take some of the sting out of City’s game.

That being said, don’t expect this one to be close.

Prediction: Copenhagen 0-4 Man City
