Selena Gomez is a “bad liar.”
The “Only Murders in the Building” star announced on Instagram late Tuesday that she would be quitting social media for the umpteenth time to focus on “what really matters” — her boyfriend, Benny Blanco, and family.
Gomez shared the boy-who-cried-wolf-like message over a video of two little kids crawling over the famed music producer to inundate him with kisses.
She noted she’d be off for “a while.”
The “Lose You to Love Me” singer’s decision to hit pause on social media comes after she went viral at the 2024 Golden Globes for her animated gossip session with Taylor Swift and Miles Teller’s wife, Keleigh Sperry.
Fans theorized — and a lip reader later confirmed — that Gomez had asked former co-star Timothée Chalamet for a photo but he turned it down because of his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, who is friends with Justin Bieber’s wife, Hailey.
Lip reader Jeremy Freeman exclusively told Page Six that the Rare Beauty founder said, “He didn’t want a picture with me. He said no.”
Sperry, 31, was thought to have clarified, “Timothée?”
Gomez then nodded her head in apparent approval.

A source close to Gomez, 31, insisted the songstress “never saw” or spoke to the “Wonka” star, 28, and “never went up to them and asked for a photo.”
Dissatisfied with the viral news, Chalamet denied the ordeal himself, telling TMZ that “of course” he’s “cool” with Gomez.
The “Calm Down” singer still appeared to be upset over the focus on her conversation and finally admitted what she and her two good friends were actually talking about during the award show.
“I told Taylor about two of my friends who hooked up,” she commented on E! News’ Instagram post.
“Not that that’s anyone business.”
Jenner, 26, hasn’t addressed the award show moment.
