LSU’s Carla Tejedo putts for birdie as opponent walks her line, sparking etiquette debate

LSU girls’s golf workforce received its fourth event of the season on Wednesday on the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate in South Carolina but it surely wasn’t their spectacular comeback victory that was the speaking level on social media. 

A passionate debate about golf etiquette stirred on Twitter Monday in the course of the first spherical of the event when a video of junior Carla Tejedo placing for birdie on the 18th gap started circulating.

Tejedo made the shot to publish a one-over 72, but it surely was her associate seemingly strolling her line that induced the uproar.

“Cross from behind, folks! Don’t stroll straight in somebody’s line,” golf analyst Amanda Rose stated in a tweet. 

“You do not stroll throughout the individual placing to get the road,” one other consumer wrote. “You stroll behind them. Great putt by Carla however should not have to look at by somebody.”

Some customers defended the opposite golfer, including she walked behind the ball and because of this didn’t really intervene with Tejedo’s “line.” 

But others argued that regardless, it was a nasty look. 

The incident didn’t appear to have a lot of an influence on Tejedo’s play. LSU would rally from 4 pictures down getting into the ultimate spherical on Wednesday to win by 4 pictures.

LSU will shut out its common season on March 24 on the Clemson Invitational at Sunset in South Carolina.
