Britney Spears slams ‘joke’ of a police wellness checkup after dancing with knives

Britney Spears has had “enough” of people after police conducted a wellness check on her amid concern over videos of her dancing at home with knives.

“Is it a joke in the news again with welfare checks??? Come on America … we cooler than that, right ??? The officers came to my home and said they would not leave until they spoke to me as people do 4 minute performances with them,” she wrote via Instagram Saturday.

The “Toxic” songstress claimed that she is “getting an apology,” but she didn’t specify if said apology was coming from police or from her concerned loved ones.

“I’ve been bullied in my home for so long now…ITS ENOUGH! Don’t talk about it, come on, let’s DO !!!” she continued.

“As my mom [Lynne] does the silent treatment when paps ask questions about her own daughter as if I’m in the wrong…nope it’s an old game. People need to be responsible for their actions!”

Spears, 41, concluded by writing, “It’s about power for cops.”

Page Six confirmed last week that cops visited Spears’ Thousand Oaks, Calif., home and performed a wellness check on her after someone from her inner circle contacted them.

The “Gimme More” songstress spoke out about the wellness check on Saturday.

“Somebody close to Britney had seen the video posted on social media, where she’s dancing and twirling with knives in her hands, and they were really concerned for her mental well-being,” the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office public information officer told us at the time.

After officers arrived to the singer’s home, they talked to her security through the intercom and left shortly thereafter after being assured that Spears was “fine” and “nothing was going on.”

“They didn’t want to let the officer in to see her physically,” the public information officer added.

The “Gimme More” songstress initially spoke out about the check and told people not to “worry or call the police” after posting the dancing knife videos – which Spears has since claimed were prop knives.

The “Toxic” songstress spoke out after concern over the videos and claimed they were “fake knives.”

“I know I spooked everyone with the last post, but these are fake knives that my team rented from Hand Prop shop in LA,” she wrote via Instagram Thursday night alongside another knife-wielding dancing video.

Spears doubled down that they were “not real knives,” adding that she was just “trying to imitate one of my favorite performers Shakira” – referring to Shakira’s MTV VMAs performance earlier this month.

The “Crossroads” actress previously encouraged fans to “lighten up” after she shared a video of her dancing with butcher knives and later revealed she had a bandage on her arm.
