Patrick Ewing will not return as Georgetown’s head basketball coach after six seasons

“I’m very proud to be a graduate of Georgetown University,” Ewing stated in an announcement, through ESPN. “And I’m very grateful to President [John J.] DeGioa for giving me the chance to realize my ambition to be a head basketball coach. It is especially significant for me to be in command of the basketball program at my alma mater. I want this system nothing however success. I’ll at all times be a Hoya.”
