Mike McGee is the son of four-time PGA Tour winner Jerry McGee and the husband of LPGA Hall of Famer Annika Sorenstam. McGee grew up together with his sister Michelle in East Palestine, Ohio.

“What occurred and continues to occur in East Palestine is a tragedy that makes everybody’s coronary heart harm,” Sorenstam stated. “Mike’s connection to the world brings this struggling proper to our doorstep. The marketing campaign will embody a celeb golf occasion in May at The Lake Club in Poland, Ohio, which is quarter-hour outdoors of East Palestine, Ohio.
“Mike and I wished to do one thing to assist his hometown throughout this time of want, and Ed was his first name. He’s very philanthropic and ran with the thought,” Sorenstam stated.
“East Palestine is a close-knit group, and I loved my many visits there over time. We even had each of our youngsters baptized there, and held our receptions on the Lake Club afterwards, so this fundraiser brings us full circle.”
All the cash raised might be given to the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley fund in assist of East Palestine.
