Ross Chastain punches Noah Gragson on pit highway as NASCAR rivalry boils over

Ross Chastain and Noah Gragson had a post-race incident Sunday night after Denny Hamlin nudged Kyle Larson out of first place to choose up the win at Kansas Speedway.

Chastain, whose aggressiveness on the monitor has left a number of drivers outraged, appeared to pin Gragson into the wall with some tight driving. Gragson then spun round in entrance of Brad Keselowski later within the race. Gragson then confronted Chastain on pit highway and fists flew.

Chastain threw a proper hook and Gragson tried to reply again with a punch of his personal, however NASCAR officers stepped in the best way and held the 2 drivers again.

“I’m sick and bored with it,” Gragson stated of Chastain’s driving model. “The man runs into everybody. When you’ve guys like Chase Elliott and different guys telling you to beat his a–, everyone seems to be simply sick of him.”

Chastain admitted he received tight in Turn 4.

“I received tight off 4 for positive,” Chastain stated. “Noah and I’ve a really related angle on the racetrack. We practice collectively, we put together collectively, we all know each little bit about one another. I positively crowded him out of 4.”

“A really large man as soon as informed me we’ve a ‘no push coverage’ right here at Trackhouse,” he added.

Chastain completed in fifth and Gragson ended up in twenty ninth.
