Taylor Swift appears in good spirits at Brazil show one week after ‘traumatic’ death of fan

Taylor Swift appeared to be having a good time during her Friday night show in Brazil — one week after a fan died at her concert in Rio de Janeiro.

The global superstar took the stage in São Paulo’s Allianz Parque stadium with a gleaming smile and contagious confidence as she kicked off the first of three concerts she has scheduled in the South American city.

She seemed chipper as she addressed her audience and commended them for filling the stadium.

“You went ahead and broke the attendance record for this stadium,” she exclaimed, per USA Today.

“Which means there has never been this many people in this room before. Thank you São Paulo.”

The concert, which was documented by adoring fans on social media, included two surprise songs during the acoustic set: “Now That We Don’t Talk (Taylor’s Version) (From the Vault)” from “1989 (Taylor’s Version),” which she played on guitar, and “Innocent (Tayor’s Version)” from “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version),” which she paired with her piano.

The positive energy radiating throughout the stadium was certainly a contrast to her three shows in Rio de Janeiro last week.

Amid sweltering temperatures, a fan named Ana Clara Benevides passed out in her front row seat after waiting hours just to get into Estádio Nilton Santos on Nov. 17.

The 23-year-old died on her way to the hospital after going into cardiac arrest.

Although the concert went on that night, Swift, took a moment to remember Benevides on social media.

Although she carried on with last Friday’s Rio de Janeiro concert, Swift made sure to commemorate her dedicated fan before taking the stage.

The Grammy winner, 33, and her team then made the decision to postpone Saturday’s show to Monday to protect the “safety and well-being of [her] fans, fellow performers and crew” due to the extreme heat.

Fan videos from Friday’s concert showed Swift looking flushed and seemingly gasping for air as she transitioned from song to song.

The “Cruel Summer” singer was initially rumored to be heading back to the US to watch boyfriend Travis Kelce play against the Philadephia Eagles Monday night, but was unable to make it after her concert date was moved.

Swift also stayed in Brazil over the Thanksgiving holiday and celebrated away from Kelce, 34.

She decided against traveling back to the States last minute as she grappled with the immense heartache she felt over the loss of her fan, an insider told Page Six exclusively.

“The Brazil concerts … She is devastated about a fan dying,” the source told us.

“The weather is extreme. It’s a mess she didn’t expect. It’s been a traumatic experience. It’s been a lot.”

The Grammy winner’s beau, Travis Kelce, has been very supportive of her during this difficult time, an insider told Page Six exclusively.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end has been very supportive of Swift during the difficult time, according to a person close to the couple.

“She is so grateful she’s had Travis. He’s been a huge support system for her right now,” they told Us Weekly Tuesday.

“Her family has been there, but it’s different to have a boyfriend to lean on.”
