Tennessee head baseball coach suspended for weekend collection as a consequence of ‘violation in this system’

The third-ranked faculty baseball workforce within the nation has suspended its head coach for its weekend collection as a consequence of a “violation in this system.” 

Tennessee introduced the suspension of Tony Vitello on Friday previous to the beginning of a three-game collection towards the Dayton Flyers.

“The University and Coach Vitello are working collaboratively with the NCAA to deal with a violation in this system,” Tennessee athletics mentioned in an announcement. “Coach Vitello will probably be suspended for this weekend’s collection, with Josh Elander serving as performing head coach, and we’ll present an replace on Monday.”

While Tennessee didn’t go into specifics on the suspension, it comes as shortstop Maui Ahuna has but to be cleared to play after transferring from Kansas final June.

Ahuna, a first-team all-Big 12 participant in 2022, has not appeared in Tennessee’s first six video games.
