The best strikers to sign on Football Manager 2024

Finding a top striker is among the most important things you can do on Football Manager 2024.

Whether you’ve got a huge budget or you’re scraping together the pennies in the lower leagues, there are options all across the globe for you to consider.

But sometimes putting the time in to find the striker you need isn’t always possible, nor do you have the resources at your club to flesh out what you’re looking for.

So to save you some time, here’s 90min’s striker picks for any budget on FM24.

Higinio
Albacete

16 finishing and 15 heading are among 29-year-old Higinio’s most eye-catching stats. He looks like a solid pick-up for £1.3m.

Nahuel Bustos
Talleres

Available for around £9m, Bustos is great as both a striker or a right winger, with his 16 finishing and 15 dribbling giving you options in terms of the role he plays and also style of football.

Mohammed Bouldini
Levante

Bouldini has a £7m release clause but can be picked up for just over £2m which, for a player with 15 finishing and 14 heading, is pretty good.

Ignacio Scocco
Hughes F.B.C

This price range often throws out a few players on the older side, and 38-year-old Scocco is the shout this year. 9 pace is hardly ideal but 17 finishing and a £5m price tag should give you something to think about.

Leandro Damiao
Kawasaki-F

It’ll cost you under £200,000 to land 33-year-old Damiao, who is now plying his trade in Japan. 16 finishing, 16 heading and 14 pace make him a dangerous option.

Petar Musa
Benfica

Musa is a backup player at Benfica but his 16 finishing feels far to high to waste on the bench. At under £10m, the 25-year-old feels like a smart buy.

Gabriel Barbosa
FLA

£21m will land you long-term European target Gabigol from Flamengo. It’s a little steep but players of his quality don’t come cheap.

Mehdi Taremi
FC Porto

£22m is on the higher end of this price bracket but it’s worth it for Teremi. The 30-year-old remains one of the best strikers outside the top leagues.

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting
FC Bayern

It’ll only cost you £675,000 to land Choupo-Moting from Bayern, but he falls into this price bracket because of his seriously hefty wages.

Paulo Dybala
AS Roma

With a release clause of £17.25m for Italian clubs and just £10.25m for overseas sides, if you’re a club who can afford his high wages, Dybala is an absolute steal. Seriously, go buy him right now.

Victor Osimhen
Parthenope

At the other end of the spectrum of release clauses, Osimhen is available for £86m. It’s steep, but you’ll struggle to find an elite striker who is only 24 for much less than that.

Dusan Vlahovic
Juventus

One year younger than Osimhen, 23-year-old Vlahovic is available for below £80m. If you’ve got that sort of money to spare, he’s a great alternative to the Nigerian.

Julian Alvarez
Manchester City

Already blessed with a certain Norwegian robot, Manchester City are surprisingly willing to cut ties with Alvarez and will sell him for just £47m. That’s a seriously good deal.

Santiago Gimenez
Feyenoord

Teams across Europe are taking notice of 22-year-old Gimenez and that’ll be the case in FM as well. His £50m price tag feels like it could be a bargain in a few years.

Kylian Mbappe
Paris SG

Look, you’re probably not going to try sign Mbappe, but the thing is he is actually available at the start of the game. A bid of £145m will convince PSG to sell.
