Tottenham predicted lineup vs Chelsea – Premier League

Tottenham are loving life under Ange Postecoglou right now with the north Londoners at the top of the Premier League table ahead the weekend’s action.

They have managed to avoid many injuries to key players so far this season which has helped with maintaining the unbeaten record after 10 games, but there is a selection problem at left-back brewing for the Greek-Australian coach ahead of Monday night’s visit of Chelsea.

Here is the starting XI that Postecoglou is likely to choose against Chelsea.

GK: Guglielmo Vicario – The clear number one at Tottenham now, Vicario just needs to keep doing what he’s doing in between the sticks.

RB: Pedro Porro – Porro has turned into one of the best right-backs in Europe at the start of this season and he is one of a number of undroppable players in this team.

CB: Cristian Romero – One of the best things that Postecoglou has done is turn Romero into a steadier defender who is less rash in the tackle.

CB: Micky Van de Ven – Partly why Romero has improved is that he has the calming presence of Van de Ven next to him, who has proved to be a superb signing so far.

LB: Ben Davies – This is the problem area and it will be between Davies and Destiny Udogie, with both trying hard to recover in time to face Chelsea.

CM: Pape Matar Sarr – A player who has become a very solid midfielder this season and everyone expects to start.

CM: Yves Bissouma – He seems to have put that petulant red card against Luton Town behind him and is back as a regular starter in the midfield.

RM: Dejan Kulusevski – Many wondered if Kulusevski’s time at Tottenham was going to fizzle out in the summer but he has found a new level which he has to try and keep going.

AM: James Maddison – One of the most threatening players in the league now, some other clubs may be wondering how they let the chance to sign him slip.

LM: Richarlison – Richarlison has done well to buy into things by being pushed to the left wing, but it is an area of the squad that Tottenham may look to strengthen in the near future.

ST: Son Heung-min – He can’t seem to stop scoring at the moment and the club captain will certainly be the main goal threat for his team coming into this game.
