Britney Spears wants to be open about her struggles, but says they’re ‘too offensive to share’

Britney Spears admitted she wants to be open about her struggles, but fears what she has to say will be “too offensive” to share online.

The “Toxic” songstress took to Instagram Wednesday to detail the highlights of her latest beach getaway before seemingly hinting that it wasn’t all smooth sailing.

“There are a lot of other things that happened on this trip that I’m not sharing as well,” she wrote. “Nothing is what it seems sometimes!!! I portray that everything is completely perfect but trust me I’ve been through it as well and I would share those struggles but they are too offensive to share.”

“It would make other people extremely sad and honestly there’s not a damn thing I can do about it,” Spears, 42, continued. “So just know my life is not as perfect as it seems … and remember my beautiful friends you’re not alone.”

While the mom of two didn’t specify her woes, several fans rushed to the comments to wish her the best.

“Britney, I’ve loved you since the day I found out about you when I was 11 years old (in 1998),” one wrote. “I’m so sorry all the shit you had to go through … I wish you nothing but the best and look forward to many more years of your playful, silly, and beautiful antics! 🥰.”

Since breaking free from her 13-year conservatorship in 2021, Spears has occasionally opened up about her strives, particularly blaming her estranged father, Jamie Spears, “for the abuses and trauma he caused.”

In the pop sensation’s October 2023 memoir, “The Woman In Me,” Britney got candid about her resentment toward her father as he was appointed the legal guardian of her case in 2008.

She alleged Jamie, 71, was “put on the earth for no other reason than to help their cash flow” as court filings showed the family patriarch paid himself an estimated $6 million in his role as Spears’ conservator.

The mom of two also alleged her father often criticized her appearance, repeatedly referring to her as fat and forcing her to eat only chicken and canned vegetables for two years.

Aside from her broken relationship with Jamie, Spears also wrote about the trauma of having an abortion when she was merely a teenager because her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake “wasn’t happy about the pregnancy.”
