Global Anglicans rebuke liberal Church of England head amid same-sex marriage struggle: ‘Determined to bless sin’

A bunch of conservative Anglican leaders from around the globe have issued an announcement rebuking the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby and different Church of England leaders they declare “have failed to protect the religion.”

The Kigali Commitment comes two months after Anglican leaders within the Global South Fellowship of Anglican Churches (GSFA) rejected the management of the archbishop of Canterbury in a scathing letter after the Church of England voted to supply blessings for same-sex {couples}.

A spokesperson for Lambeth Palace, the official residence of the archbishop of Canterbury, issued an announcement in response to the Kigali Commitment, noting “that no adjustments to the formal buildings of the Anglican Communion will be made except they’re agreed upon by the Instruments of Communion.”

Bishop of South Syndey Dr. Michael Stead, who chaired the GAFCON assertion committee, mentioned the convention made clear that “many of the world’s Anglicans have misplaced confidence within the Archbishop of Canterbury to offer a godly means ahead that will likely be acceptable to those that are dedicated to the truthfulness, readability, sufficiency and authority of scripture,” in keeping with Church Times.

“This grieves us, however it’s they who’ve walked away from us,” Stead added.
