Meghan Markle makes a very elegant appearance at Canada ice rink in $1,295 cape coat and $1,195 riding boots as she cheers on Prince Harry in wheelchair curling game

Meghan Markle brought a whole new level of cool to a Vancouver ice rink today when she put her most fashionable foot forward to cheer on Prince Harry as he tried his hand at wheelchair curling.

The 42-year-old Duchess of Sussex was the epitome of ‘quiet luxury’ in her ensemble, which featured a $1,295 camel-colored cape coat from female-owned Canadian outerwear brand Sentaler, which she wore with a $325 pair of MaxMara gloves to cover her wrists and forearms.

While Meghan opted not to join her husband on the ice – where he went head-to-head with Vancouver-born singer Michael Buble in a round of curling – she put on an energetic display from the sidelines at the Hillcrest Community Centre, where she was seen whooping and clapping for her spouse as he took part in the game.

And while she did not partake in the sport herself, Meghan shied away from her more glamorous red carpet ensembles in favor of a pared-back look for the day – which marks the couple’s final stop on their trip to Canada, where they have been celebrating the one-year countdown to the next Invictus Games.

Under her elegant coat, Meghan wore a pair of $195 black ‘Valerie’ jeans from New York-based fashion brand La Ligne.

She completed the look with a simple beige top, before adding a pair of black leather $1,195 riding boots from Los Angeles label CO, which are ‘handcrafted from smooth calfskin’ and described as being ‘easy to slip on’ – and complete complete with an anti-slip sole, an essential for an afternoon on the ice.

The final touch for her understated ensemble came in the form of Anine Bing’s $250 chunky gold ‘signature link double cross earrings’, which were given the opportunity to shine courtesy of her low ponytail.

Meghan went all out with the glam however, sporting plenty of bronzer, a smoky eye, and long lashes, as well as a nude-colored lip gloss.

Meghan was joined on the sidelines by Michael’s equally stylish wife, Luisana Lopilato, who mirrored Meghan’s muted color palette in a beige coat, which she paired with black trousers, a black V-neck sweater, and a white T-shirt.

Together, the Duchess and Luisana were seen cheering and laughing as their husbands competed in the curling competition – with the two men making joking jabs at one another as they attempted to come out on top.

Meghan and Harry’s latest appearance came just hours after the Duke of Sussex’s latest tell-all interviewed aired on Good Morning America – with the father-of-two opening up about a range of topics during his chat with host Will Reeve, who is the son of late Superman star Christopher Reeve.

During the two-part interview, the Duke discussed King Charles’ cancer diagnosis, saying that he hopes his father’s illness might help to have a ‘reunifying effect’ on the royal family.

He also insisted that he ‘loves his family’, noting that he ‘jumped on a plane’ to the UK ‘as soon as he could’ after Charles told him about his illness over the phone, before confessing that he has ‘considered’ applying for US citizenship.

‘Um, look, I love my family,’ the father-of-two said when asked by Will how the meeting with his father had impacted him ’emotionally’.

‘The fact that I was able to get on a plane and go and see him and spend any time with him, I’m grateful for that.’

After Will explained that he has ‘found in my own life that sort of an illness in the family can have a galvanizing or a sort of reunifying effect for a family,’ he asked Harry: ‘Is that possible in this case?’

The Duke then responded: ‘Absolutely. Yeah, I’m sure.’

The trip also came after the couple became embroiled in rows over the rebranding of their website to Sussex.com, Harry’s 30-minute meeting with his cancer-stricken father in London and criticism over the Sussexes’ heavy use of private jets.

Despite the swirl of controversy, the Duke and Duchess have appeared unaffected during their trip and were seen beaming in exclusive DailyMail.com photos beaming as they left a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner in Whistler on Wednesday night.
