Lukas Gage blames six-month marriage to Chris Appleton on a ‘manic episode,’ implies he signed NDA

Lukas Gage admits he doesn’t know what exactly prompted his six-month marriage to Chris Appleton – though he’s chalking it up to “a manic episode.”

“I had a manic episode for six months,” the “White Lotus” star explained during Tuesday’s “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” while reflecting on his short-lived romance with the famed Kardashian hairstylist.

“I literally don’t know what went through my head, but we live and we learn.”

Following a whirlwind romance, Gage, 28, and Appleton, 40, tied the knot in a Las Vegas ceremony on April 22, 2023, with the latter’s friend Kim Kardashian serving as the officiant. However, just a few months later, in November of that same year, Appleton filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Gage told Cohen on Tuesday’s “WWHL” that he allegedly signed an NDA – but insisted “there was no cheating” in the relationship amid ongoing rumors that ran rampant on social media.

Cohen then offered up his own opinion on the matter, telling Gage that it “seemed wild” to get married to someone after dating for only two months.

“That’s kind of how I roll,” Gage said in a response. “I’m a little impulsive but, that was probably one of the most unhinged things I’ve ever done in my life.”

Gage also offered an apology to music icon Shania Twain during the interview, saying he’s sorry for “wasting” the singer’s time.

Twain, 58, serenaded the couple by singing “You’re Still the One” on their big day in Sin City.

“I want to apologize to Shania Twain for wasting her time. I mean, ‘we’re still holding on,’ ‘you’re still the one’ after, like, three weeks? That was unhinged,” he confessed. “That was the biggest waste of her time. But, I love you, Shania. I’m really sorry about that.”

As Page Six previously reported, Appleton and Gage’s relationship was first made public in February 2023 when the two shared photos from their vacation at the St. Regis Punta Mita Resort.

After saying “I do,” the couple signed a post-nuptial agreement on May 3, 2023, which noted that the division of assets were to be handled according to the binding document. The divorce filing, obtained by Page Six, also stated that they shared “no community assets.”
