Gemma Atkinson has shared details on a trip to the fairground that has left her in pain and drenched from the rain.
The 38-year-old took to her Instagram stories to tell her 1.9 million followers what happened during what was supposed to be a fun day out.
The mum-of-two began: “We went on some rides today, proper fairground outside Matalan, and I’m cool with rides – well I thought I was.
“I don’t know if it’s what happens at a certain age, I’m 39 in November. Them ones where you sit in a car, not a waltzer, it spins and it goes faster and faster.
“I was going round with Mia, and I was thinking, ‘This is quite fast,’ and I was thinking, ‘I need to get off this.’
“By the end of it, Mia was like this in the seat and I was like this and just when I thought I couldn’t get any more pain, ‘Scream if you want to go faster, hands in the air’. It went even more,” the Strictly Come Dancing star explained.
The former Emmerdale actress said her daughter Mia, four, loved it but she herself wanted to get off.
To make matters worse, the weather took a turn and it was raining which meant the mother-daughter duo got “drenched”.
Mia came home and got into her pyjamas, but mum Gemma admitted she was still soaking from the rain.
Gemma shares Mia and three-month-old son Thiago with husband-to-be Gorka Marquez.
The pair confirmed they were dating on Valentine’s Day in 2018 after they met when Gemma took part on the 15th series of Strictly.
She was paired with Aljaz Skorjanec while Gorka was dancing with Alexandra Burke.
Both pairs made it to the final but were pipped to the post by the eventual winner, Holby City actor Joe McFadden.
Three years after confirming their romance, Gemma and Gorka revealed they were engaged and set to marry.
