Donald Glover shares the important bedroom lesson he learned from ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’

Donald Glover picked up a couple of tips to try out in the bedroom while filming “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.”

“Go slow,” the actor and comedian told Page Six exclusively with a laugh at the Amazon Prime Video show’s premiere Wednesday night.

“Go slow. I don’t even mean in just foreplay,” he elaborated. “I mean in everything, it will make everything a lot more romantic, and you’ll appreciate it a lot more when you get there. You’ll really understand it.”

Glover — who shares three sons, Legend, Drake and Donald III, with his wife, Michelle White — then reiterated his advice: “Go slow, everybody, but mostly guys. Go slower!”

The “Atlanta” star and creator, 40, stars opposite “PEN15” actress Maya Erskine in the new series based on the 2005 film starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

In the movie, Pitt and Jolie play married assassins who are surprised to discover they have been assigned to kill each other.

In the small-screen iteration, Glover and Erskine are two lonely strangers who were separately recruited by the same spy agency, agree to relinquish their old lives and enter into an arranged marriage.

The show, co-created by Glover, delves into the subject of loneliness, something he notes many people experienced in quarantine as COVID-19 spread.

“I think there is a deep loneliness that everyone felt during the pandemic,” he shared with us, noting that he has often felt lonely during comedy tours.

“Maybe I’m drinking a lot,” the “Community” alum confessed. “Like, I feel like when you’re a comedian you’re coming into new places and you’re drinking a lot and your depression is real.”

Glover shared that the pandemic made him think about loneliness, intimacy and what it meant to have a partner.

“I was like, ‘Why do people even get together? Oh, because life is hard. We need each other,’” he explained.

“Mr. & Mrs. Smith,” which began streaming Friday, also features a host of guest stars, including Michaela Coel, John Turturro, Alexander Skarsgård and Sharon Horgan.
