While everything started out well, the interview with Jimmy Kimmel and Will Arnett took a turn when Jimmy showed the audience a picture of Jason Bateman catching a fish. The photo was snapped on a trip the two took together during the summer.
Although Jimmy Kimmel later corrected him, Will Arnett initially insisted that he was not invited on the trip.
Throughout the conversation about Jason Bateman catching the fish, Will confronted Jimmy about the fact that the two of them purposely excluded him from the festivities and chose to leave him behind to miss out on all the fun.
In addition, he made it clear that he doesn’t think that Jason is responsible for the catching of the fish and that someone else actually did the work and handed him the prize for a photo opportunity.

As it would turn out, Arnett was reminded that he did, in fact, receive an email about the trip but responded that he wouldn’t be in town or able to attend.
While the conversation continued, Jimmy Kimmel reminded Arnett that his wife, Molly McNearney, sent Will an email about the vacation as they were planning it with an invitation to attend.
While Will Arnett originally had an entire bit planned out about not being invited, he was stopped in his tracks during the interview when he realized that he had completely forgotten that he had turned down an invitation.
Will Arnett Is A Good Friend Of Both Jimmy And Jason

Throughout the interview, Will Arnett and Jimmy Kimmel share stories and memories of their friendship. At one point, Jimmy attempts to label Jason Bateman as only Arnett’s friend, but the actor quickly points out that he also has a stake in the Jason Bateman friendship.
