However, there have been many questions about how Kelly achieved a slimmed-down look, including accusations that she turned to a weight-loss medication to help her shed pounds. While Kelly has been silent on the subject, a new report says the singer can only credit lifestyle changes for her weight loss.
Kelly Lost 40 Pounds, But Not With Ozempic
“But she’s not [using Ozempic],” a source alleged to Life & Style. “She’s limited her sugar and carb intake. She’s cut out soda, chips, biscuits, cheese and tortillas. And she’s added exercise, mostly cardio, into her weekly routine. She’s lost about 40 pounds. She feels amazing.”
Ozempic is a prescription medication used to treat type 2 diabetes. It belongs to a class of drugs called GLP-1 receptor agonists and helps control blood sugar levels by stimulating the release of insulin and reducing the production of glucagon in the body.
However, because it can help promote weight loss, it’s been increasingly prescribed to people without diabetes in order to help them shed pounds. Many celebrities are now facing accusations of relying on Ozempic to lose weight, like Kelly.
Ozempic may lead to side effects like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, decreased appetite, headache, fatigue, and injection site reactions such as redness or swelling.
Kelly Is Making Another Huge Life Change
If a body transformation wasn’t enough, Kelly is also making another big life change – relocating to New York. The singer originally moved from Montana to Los Angeles after separating from her ex-husband. But she recently admitted to feeling that another move is necessary.
“I’ll be real honest: I thought I was making a horrible decision,” she told USA Today. “I knew I needed a fresh start and couldn’t be in LA.”
“I really wanted to be in Montana, but you can’t really do a show from there quite yet. So I was like, ‘The only other option would probably be New York,’” the talk show host continued. “At this point, I’m 40 years old. Mama rented something nice!”
“I was like, ‘I’m not living here unless it’s right by the park and really nice for the kids,’” the mother-of-two said, adding that while she’s not looking to buy property currently, she hopes to rent something luxe.
Moreover, there have been reports that Kelly is gearing up to get back in the dating game. Or, more specifically, that her friends are pushing her to get back into it so she can finally move on from her divorce. “Her friends and colleagues are all itching to set her up and she’s excited to go on some dates,” an insider dished to OK! Magazine.
“Kelly’s not rushing into anything but there’s no way she’s going to sit around being single forever,” they went on. “She’s ready to smile again and get out there and have some fun.”
Perhaps Kelly will find her soul mate in New York now that she’s calling the Big Apple home.
