Brad recently attended a small art show in Beverly Hills where he ran into his former in-laws, The Sun reports. The actor was reportedly having a date night with his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon, who apparently hasn’t even met Brad’s kids as he fears the reaction it may get from Angelina.

The publication shared exclusive photos from the event, which showed Angelina’s famous father, director Jon Voigt, and her brother, James Haven, in close proximity to Brad. Though Angelina is vocally close to her brother, she’s been estranged with her father for many years.
The images show Brad in seemingly good spirits, though he wasn’t seen interacting with Haven and Voigt. He did, however, appear chummy with Britney Spears’ estranged husband Sam Asghari, even posing for photos together.
Brad Avoided Talking To His Former Father-In-Law
A source told The Sun that Brad’s run-in with Angelina’s family wasn’t hostile, but it certainly wasn’t friendly, either. “Plenty of people noticed how awkward it was that Brad was in the same room as Angie’s family, and it’s not a big space,” they said.
“I’m told James was amicable and acknowledged Brad, but I didn’t see them talking, they were mostly stood apart for the duration of the event speaking with friends,” the source continued.

Brad Pitt has a complicated relationship to some of his children, following his divorce from Angelina Jolie.
While Pitt avoided the Jolie family, it appears Asghari wasn’t shy to chat up Jon and James. “Britney Spears’ ex Sam Asghari was also there and went up and asked for a selfie with Brad, mentioning how much the singer loved him,” the source went on. “He then switched sides and went over and was seen chatting to James and Jon for a while.”
Angelina and Brad’s divorce was finalized in 2019 after years of fighting. However, they’re still engaged in a custody war for their three minor kids. One report says Angelina intends to drag it out until the kids are over 18 and can decide how much or little communication they have with their father.
“She is going to drag this [custody battle] out until the twins [now 14] turn 18,” a source said last year. “Four more years.” Brad has reportedly spent over $14 million fighting Angelina since their split, and it looks like the bill will continue getting higher.
Brad’s Ex-Brother-In-Law Is Closer To His Kids Than He Is
While Brad’s relationship with his kids is reportedly strained as Angelina maintains primary custody, her brother James Haven gave an interview earlier this month revealing he’s a huge part of the kids’ lives, especially since his sister is now a single mom.
“That’s where it all starts, it starts with the protection of her and her children – my nieces and nephews,” James explained. “I set my life up so I can be present with whatever the situation. I want to be there for them or for her — whatever she’s going through.”
Brad hasn’t publicly responded to his former brother-in-law’s comments.
